Anyone use Alfred Angelo dresses for yourself or bridesmaids?
I was going to get the alfred angelo dream in color series of dresses and everyone says that it's weird to have color on your wedding gown. I thought it was pretty and unique. Your opinions???

I purchased my Alfred Angelo gown almost a month ago - ordered it in ivory and clover green. I like the idea of a little punch of color and it made choosing bridal party colors a breeze. I found that the green up by my face (halter) added life (I'm pretty pale and the all-ivory/white dresses washed me out).
I should add that my FH and I are only traditional in the sense that we're having a church wedding; otherwise we have been fairly unconventional in our planning. I liked the idea of something a little different in regard to my dress. Go with your gut - it's your dress!

It's not traditional to have color in your dress but I think it's pretty. I'd say go with whatever makes you happy.

i originally wanted an alfred angelo dress with clover green as well until i started to try on dresses with color on and figure i really didn't work for me. I honestly love the dress and do not feel that it takes away from being a wedding dress at all. Its amazing to have a 'color' theme.

FH & I went to a wedding where the bride wore a dress with red trim, it was beautiful!

it's not weird. I'm also looking at one of the alfred angelo dream in color bridal gowns (style #1516). Some people have trouble thinking outside the box but it's your wedding, you wear whatever dress makes you happy. Forget what everyone says.

i ordered my dress, there's a pic of it (the pic from their website) in my pics. i got it in the pink, the same color as shown in the picture. my BMs will wear dresses that are the same color pink as is in my gown.
ok first of all, i felt the same way you did about wondering whether color in the dress was weird. but i had the opposite reaction from people when i asked. all my girlfriends assured me that color in wedding gowns is in now. also, even if it is kind of in, it is still unique. not many people will have a gown that looks like yours. and i happen to be obsessed with pink, so it was the only dress i felt like was really ME!
i think if you love it, go for it. especially b/c you can order BM dresses from them then and they will match the color in your dress perfectly!
