I thought the books were free. Why do they want you to pay a monthly fee then???

It's like Netflix... you pay a set amount (like 8.00 a month) and they give you 3 books a month to read...

Scott.... 8.00 these days for 3 books could be considered free since a hardcover is 20 bucks alone!

i use booksfree.com, i love it. I pay 12 a month and I get 4 books to borrow. They send them to me by mail and I return them in a prepaid envelope that comes with the order. Very convenient!

Wouldnt it be easier and cheaper to just goto the Library?

That would mean I would need to get off the couch.... pffft. j/k

Library.. I dont even have a library card or know where my library is since I moved. The library just doesnt have the same allure as the bookstore, and my old library never had any of the good books.. you could put your name on the list for a book and get it a year later. By that time, forget about it.

I agree about the library...my library has like a 6-8 month waiting period for new books, and then I forget to return them, pay money for late fees..etc...Im going to check them out now...oh wait, not sure if I can affoord this...also, Im not sure I have the TIME to read that amount of books..I wish you could pay as you like...is that an option?

ok...just checked them out, Im disappointed they dont have new hardcover releases, for $6.99 at the cheapest for 2 paperbacks doesnt seem that good of an offer...you can get paperbacks at Target /Walmart for about the same price for two these days...

I dont think its worth it. My library gets all the new releases in...You can eaither take them out for 14 days or rent them for $.20 a day.
