I was thinking of embellishing my invites with a few crystals. Anyone have experience with the hotfix crystals? Those are the ones that can be glued when heat activated. I would need to buy the heating tool as well.
Or do you think it would be best to just glue the crystals one at a time?

they sell self-stick rhinestones. i bought them at michaels, they were great.

by the ones with the adhesives..i am doing this also.
i am buying the adhesives from michaels (with coupons of course). you can use a small sharp scissor to cut it off and place them

thanks guys! do you think the self adhesive ones will stick well? i have seen some of the self adhesive ones, but they were kinda dull looking, more plasticky.

my wedding was over a year ago. MIL has the invite displayed in her china cabinet. rhinestone is still there. still looks good

i just used whatever glue was recommended for the regular flat-back crystals... it worked great!

I DID!! The Hotfix swarovski crystals are so much nicer than the self-adhesive ones which are much more dull. With the crystals I purchased a hot glue gun at Michael's (they had a small craftsman gun for under 5 dollars). I didn't use the glue cartridge that the glue gun came with, instead I just heated it up and placed the crystals on the tip of the gun, then pulled it off and glued them.. I burned the tip of my fingers a couple of times pulling the crystals off the gun but it was well worth it, my place cards and table numbers looked awesome.
