Anyone use Music by Michael?

We are looking for a DJ with a very simple, classy style and not a lot of fru-fru ness as the FH calls it. (i think that means no hokey pokey!?) Plus, we are really not into top 40 and would prefer some older type music played (although after gramma goes to sleep i am definitely breaking out the dance music

)
Has anyone tried Michael?

Good experience?

Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance girls!

We booked Michael for our wedding May 2003, so I can not tell you my experience yet. But I read the reviews before meeting him and they were all excellent. We met with 2 DJs only and Michael was the second and we booked him on the spot. He's such a nice guy and no FRU FRU NESS! Meet with him and you will see.
Also try doing a search on this board, you will probably get some reviews!

I DID use Music by Michael, and it was one of the best decisions I made regarding my wedding. He was great - you really have to meet with him and see for yourself - I highly highly recommend him!!

I emailed him and he got right back to me and was very nice...I didn't make an appt to go see him yet because I have time but he was very kind & seemed to be very accomodating!

I saw Michael at two weddings before I booked him for mine. Even though the music style was somewhat different both times (the brides were very different), the consistent thing was lots of dancing, light emceeing and no cheesey typical DJ stuff. He''s such a down to earth guy and he seems very willing to allow me to have a good deal of input into the music. He's very into the organizing and planning. Michael and Flowerfield were the two vendors that I knew were a match right away. Now... on to the rest!
