Anyone use the Hoover Floormate?

I have a house full of wood floors - is it good? Can I use it on Pergo?

I have the hoover floormate and pergo floors and I love it!

I did call pergo to see if they recommended it and they could not say yes since the company hasn't done research on it.

I don't use it to clean my floors every day. I damp mop mostly and use the floormate 1x a month since the floormate uses a lot more water than the mop and water is not good on pergo.

It's great though. Really gets the floors squeeky clean!

My apartment in Brooklyn was all hardwood floors and I hate mopping. So I bought the Hoover Floormate and loved it! You would be amazed at how dirty the water is that comes out of it. I would recommend it if you have hardwood floors.

We got one as a gift from our Engagement Party and I threw away my mops that week! I don't have hardwood floors, but our entire house, with the expetion of two rooms is all ceramic tile flooring - and the Floormate works beautifully on them!! It's so easy to use, gets up so much crap from the floors, and I've never seen them cleaner! The floormate is seriously the best appliance we own, and I still use it religiously two years later. I love the vacuum/scrub feature and how you can use it on both wood and tile surfaces too!

I use it on my tile and pergo. I love the thing! It keeps the grout cleaner than sweeping b/c it vaccuums up the dirt rather than pushing it into the grout!

i was just reading about the floor mate on the hgtv message board and someone was saying that it should NOT be used on wood floors. his reasoning was that although it does have a dry feature, it doesn't adequately dry the floor and could (in time) ruin the wood.

i would love to get the floor mate, but now i am skeptical.

I just got it the other day - I ordered it from Home Shopping Network for $116 no tax or shipping! I'm going to try it on Sunday!!!
