that you would reccomend? I am looking for a friend and I have no idea where to start. the city, queens, brooklyn, the bronx or LI it doesn't matter. thanks for the help.

It depends on what you want...I am using someone who is just starting out to coordinate the wedding day for me. I can give you her name and number if you like - she just got married too. I used to do this very thing while in college so there was no way I was going to pay $1000 for a professional to do this one day. However, if you want a soup to nuts sort of coordinator, then I strongly suggest you check many, many references. There are so many 'coordinators' who have no experience but pretend to have lots. Be very careful. When I did this, I was always amazed how brides would just hand me money without checking references or even seeing a portfolio!
