Anyone using honeymoon registry?

Anyone using honeymoon registry?

We have too much clutter in our apartment already, so we don't want anything for our wedding.

Instead, we would rather have guests contribute to our honeymoon registry, since our funds are dwindling with the wedding cost.

I'd rather they just bring the donation the day of the ceremony but if they insist, I want to set up a 'registry' for them to donate to.

Has anyone used honeyfund.com and what do they think of them??

Any other recommendations?

I know this idea is very popular in Italy, where most couples live together before marriage. I think it is a cute idea.

I am confused you want a donation to it, isn't it really a gift.

I have heard of this for a shower but not usually the wedding.

I think its very popular now to use the honeymoon registry. I recently got a Bridal Shower invite that had the registry for the honeymoon and I thought it was really , really cute. You can pay certain amounts for the couple to have a candlelit dinner, or massages, and stuff like that.

i don't think you should be asking people to give you 'donations' towards your honeymoon at your ceremony.

a gift is a gift, and people may or may not choose to give you what you registered for whether it's household items or a honeymoon registry. keep in mind older guests may not be comfortable with the idea of a honeymoon registry.

I used traveler's joy and was quite pleased with it. People seemed to enjoy it. They do have a percentage based fee, but for me it was worth it....if you are asking for a lot of money, you may feel differently.
