Re: Anyone using Netbride or House of Brides???
Stay away from House of Brides (aka House O Hell) I & I know others on here had horrible experiences with them. The $40 is not worth the long distance bills it will cost you to find your order!!
I would def. check oyt the BBB or do a search here, the other company sounds familiar but I don't remember if it was good or bad!

Re: Anyone using Netbride or House of Brides???
i used netbride, the service is fine altho it took way too long to get my dress, i ordered in april and got it in august.
if you're in a rush, i would definitely go elsewhere.... i think it would have been better to go thru gownfind.com 'cus they have very good prices too and they cap alterations at 150 i think...
lotsa girls here have used gownfind.com so u can do a search for reviews...

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STAY AWAY FROM HOUSE OF BRIDES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Many of us got screwed by them, not just me. Please read my review.
As for the above post, I don't know about net bride. But I was told that 4 months was the norm for ordering BM gowns.

I heard Netbride was good. I am planning to order my dresses from there. My dresses were 115 at house of brides and they are 104 at netbride! :)

Re: Anyone using Netbride or House of Brides???
I ordered my dresses from HOB. The qualm I had was there 'Absolutely no Refund' policy, otherwise I'd say it was average service (not best, not worse). Also, there is a long turnaround time (16 weeks), but I've been told that that can be typical in alot of bridal shops if you special order gowns. I got my dresses in less time tho (13 weeks), but they couldn't guarantee me that when i ordered them.
I was also tempted by the discounted price and the free shipping. Found my dresses about $40-50 cheaper than a bridal shop. I realize later it cost each BM about 40 to tailor it back home anyway .
Other thing happened, but it's partially my fault. I ordered a size 6 dress for my size 7 BM. should have gotten her a size 8, and the next day after I placed the order, I called and the reassured twice me that I would have a size 8 dress when it comes in. Nope!, got a size 6 dress. My BM look ed fabulous nonetheless, only that she had to get a corset just for the dress.
