on your bridesmaids dresses? im concerned that the colors i really like for bridesmaids dresses will wash my girls out or blend too much with me (my dress will be off-white/ivory)...

If you look on the Knot it'll show you pictures of real bridesmaids... I originally wanted light pink but when I saw real life wedding parties, it sort of blended with the bride

I was going to say the same thing. My friend's cousin had tan (or really light brown) wedding dresses and it blended in with the brides dress. She even told my friend to go for more of a color contrast in the bridesmaids dresses just because it looks better in pictures.

well i wanted the girls in peach which has been looking too close to their skin tone...so then i was thinking maybe a champagne color or a darker ivory with a peach sash...the problem if i'm afraid everything is so light and is going to blend with me...

What about doing a coral its a little more darker than peach with a pinker tone to it. I have seen girls with all kinds of skin tones look good in that color it doesn't tend to wash people out.
This is so so pretty, but i felt like it took away from the bride

Champagne is a beautiful color in bridesmaids gown but coral is gorgeous too. I originally wanted light pink until I saw it next to my dress and it does blend so I went with a light green color with a darker pink for my maid of honor. Depending on the swatches they may gave more in between colors good luck :)
