Anyone Using the Same Song...
For the BP and yourself during the ceremony processional? There's a song I really love and want to use, but can't really figure out a way to shorten it for just my entrance so that it still sounds good. I thought about using it for my BP and myself since I only have 4 girls and I don't think it'll take them long to walk down the aisle, but some family and friends are trying to discourage me, saying I should have my own music. Thoughts? TIA!

It's you're wedding and you should do what you want to. I also was unsure about a song change, but decided to use my own song. The biggest reason was because a change in song cues the guests to rise for your entrance. What song is it? Is there a place in the music where the musicians can take a long rest?

I'm using the same song but I've been set on this song since before I could remember. I really could care less about what everyone thinks about it. I'm really excited about it too

At 1st I was going to have my BP walk down to the same song but then I decided I wanted it just for me. I feel its more special that way. But that is just my opinion. I'm still deciding what song to have them walk down to now though...

Thank ladies...I have my heart set on 'Stolen' by Dashboard Confessional. There's sort of this big crescendo towards the end that I always envisioned myself coming out to. I'm not having musicians, my DJ is doing the ceremony music. I feel like I can't just start it at that point in the song because it'll sound like the guests are all of a sudden getting screamed at lol.@angelicd77, is there an obvious break in the song so your guests would know to get ready for your entrance, as some other girls said?

love that song, FW put it on the play list for our reception then played for me... this was like 3 months ago and it's in my head all the time now!

You could have the BP and family walk down to a song. Once they are done, the song you want to walk down to can start playing for a minute before you actually start to walk. That way, it will break up the BP/family entrance from yours, and it will give you the song to yourself.

Im using the TSO version of Pachabels Cannon (they call it Christmas Cannon). Theres 2 seperate parts that Im using for intro and exit. Hopefully the timing will work where the crescendo of the beginning part will be just as Im walking out. Fingers crossed
