anyone using votives?

Awhile ago someone posted a picture of votives with rose petals scattered.

I took that idea to another level. Since I am having a winter wedding, I am replacing the rose petals with snow, and having votive holders with blue sparkling snowflakes on them.

There will probably be 5 at a table also, since a table holds 10 and everyone can take one home.

But that brings me to a question...is that considered the favor...or do I still do favors?

I planned on doing favors in addition, but if everyone gets a candle is that too much??

If you'd like to and can afford another favor, sure buy one, but I do think people are using them as favors for people so it works both ways.

We're having one in front of each person- tables will be of 8-12 (mixed), so it depends how many people. This is what I want it to look like, only I have a different low centerpiece (and I'm not getting married at Atlantica, which is where this pic is):

i am doing votive placecards, so there will be one in front of each person.

i say go for the favors as well if you want... if not, i'm sure people would be very happy with the candle

Are you doing the seat covers too? I'm also having low centerpeices with two 12 inch taper candles on the side. :)
