My FH and I went to FSP last night and were there for over two hours. Greg was very nice and very thorough. Their work is amazing, but a bit on the high end. I'm going to see Proline and Lawrence (my sister used them in Bayside) later this week and may call Jerry at Bliss to make an appointment. Do anyone know if you pay cash if you can forgo the tax? And is anyone else having 2 videographers? It's included at FSP, along with so many other things...

ME ME ME!!!! We're using them and so is my sister and my cousin used them too when she got married (10 years ago)
They are pricey but their work is amazing and compared to Bliss you get a lot more in the package for the same price with the same quality work.
I asked about paying cash and they said they can't do that. . .understandable

Oh, they said no to cash Oh well!! It was just a thought. They definitely do give you a alot in the package. They were the first we went to, so we were probably spoiled. If you don't mind, can you FM me your package and what they quoted you?

Re: Anyone using/used Franklin Square Photographer?
I used them and they were awesome. They were more then worth the price. I also found them not to take long at all. I had all my proofs within two weeks, my thank you about a week later and my completed video by the end of the summer. I would have had my album already but I took awhile and I should have it any day now!

Re: Anyone using/used Franklin Square Photographer?
No problem this was my package. We did the recommended amount of pictures for the albums. I don't remember what the amounts were but if you have that trifold hand out thing it was the amounts that were boxed off. My sister went with the least amount of pictures and plans to add more on after the wedding. I'm FM'ing you with the price.
Off the top of my head the packages include
2 photographers
Flush Mount 8x10 Bride and Groom album
Bride Brag book - fits in your bag and has about 10-20 pictures flush mount (the cutest thing I've EVER seen!)
2 parent albums
A 5x7 portrait for every member in the bridal party
one 16x20 wall portrait AND 2 8x10 family portraits (we're giving these to both sets of parents)
Engagement shoot with one 8x10 print either in studio or out of studio and they'll do it basically anywhere you request. If you just request it be outdoors their usual location is the Garden City Gazebo or the beach in long beach
Professional framing and $50 credit towards any frame.
UNLIMITED retouching/special effects/black and white/sepia for all pictures
All proofs in a leather bound album AND on CD
UNLIMITED time on the day of your wedding. Meaning if you go over what is usually the standard 10 hours you don't have to worry about paying extra or them leaving before everything is done.
That's what I remember from the Photography package off the top of my head. There might be a few more things that I left out. If so I'll update when I look at the info I have at home.
The videography packages range in price too according to how long you want your final video to be but all packages include the following:
2 videographers
3 Chaptered DVD's including intro and credits
Photo Montage including baby, dating and honey moon photo's
UNLIMITED editing until it meets your approval.
All the raw footage of the day on DVD which usually amount to about 5-6 hours of unedited video

I'm using them too. I really love them and there is tons of examples of their work on their website. I saw proline too and really felt that for us proline didn't hold a candle to FS... (JMO: no offense to proline brides), I really feel you cant go wrong booking them. If you have a budget concern, I'd let them know and see if they are able to work with you. They are just all around good guys and super friendly. They met with us three times before we booked. And each time, they were happy to answer all our questions and concerns. I cant wait for my pics after my wedding!

Re: Anyone using/used Franklin Square Photographer?
Maybe I am the only one who thought they weren't giving me as much as some of the other photographers I met with.
I disctinctly remember speaking with the younger brother and telling him that his competitors were giving me my proofs on a CD and in the album and he refused to give the CD (something about them not wanting others aside from them to reprint their pictures because they wont maitain the quality of printing that they have). That reason told me that they wanted me for my money and that if I ever wanted reprints the only way I could get them is by paying them.
The younger brother told me he would get back to me and never did so I never booked with them. I am surprised to hear the positive feedback from the other brides...maybe they came to their senses and are trying to be competitive now so that they dont lose clientele.
Good Luck!

Who did you end up booking?
I did ask about the proof CD, which is included, but he wasn't clear whether or not I could use the CD to print my own pictures.

They may be more money but their quality and service are second to none, they make you feel like you are part of the family. You are so at ease with them and there is never any need of a 'Must Take' photo list or anything like that. FSP are true professionals and in IMO the best there is. I also had seriously never heard anything about them all during my planning process. Good Luck.
