Anyone walking down the aisle w/ both parents?

Original post by leesah85

I don't have a problem with it at all, but my mom thinks I do.

We're Roman Catholic and I don't know if this is often done.

Anyone know?

TIA

it's typically a Jewish thing so i am going to do this... but i think its just a nice gesture to both parents regadless of religion......

I think it is great..why not honor both your mother and father...they both raised you! It is actually typically a Jewish tradition, but I don't see why you can't do it in the church too. I went even more un-traditional and had my dad and stepdad walk me down. I always say you gotta do what makes you happy, not what others might think is 'right.'

GOD willing both of my parents will be walking me down the isle. Its a way to honor the 2 people who raised me.

I am, but that's because it is Jewish tradition.
