Thats awesome thought. I wouldn't attempt the favors. Way too many of them haha. And I do not carve metal well.

They're not in my album yet actually, and my mom is trying to prevent me from making them! So my ex boss bought me and FH a gift certificate to Grammercy Tavern, which is in NYC and has been ranked in the top 10 best restaurants in the world. It was one of the best dinners ever, and at the end they gave us each and individually wrapped huge coffee cake and said it was for breakfast the next day. Well, even though I might look small, I beasted out and ate both of ours in the car on the way home because they were THAT good. I want to make them as my favors!!!

Thats a really cool idea! However that would be really hard. I wonder how close to the wedding you would have to do them? Probably the day before I would think maybe.

Did you talk to the restruant to 'steal' their recipe? Or did you find some just as good?

My Uncle is BFF with the owner (I only found that out after the fact) so I'm hoping I can get my hands on it!!! If not, I might try to see if I could get a deal on them. THey were SOOOOOO good and I am SUCH a food lover!

I would almost try to swing a deal with them. That sort of think would take forever as a diy and they would have the big guns in the restaurant to do it face i would assume.

If you do it as a diy, all the power too you. Thats what brides maids are good to help with too

Wait, coffee cake has a good shelf life, doesn't it! it would be easier then normal cake!

WE guaranteed Land's End a 200 person minimum. My parents are each one of six kids, so I have a ton of aunts and uncles and 13 cousins on one side, 25 on the other. Plus, my Dad is Cuban and we are in touch with his great aunts/uncles and second cousins. Meanwhile, FH's family is TINY!

My cat keeps headbutting me.
