Well, Zoe is a 5 year old chocolate lab, we got her right befire my oldest daughter was born, I think we got her to keep our other dog company since he was our baby and we knew it just wouldn't be the same once the baby came, priorites switch! Anyway, it is just way toooo much having 2 young kids and 2 young dogs. So, we are looking for a nice home for her. She is very loving, not too needy since she has always taken the backseat to the kids, she is somewhat hyper (probably because she needs more 1:1 time) but has soooo very much to offer. She has a poor quality of life right now since we don't do much with her and she spends alot of time in our basement (with the other dog, but we can handle one dog, we just keep both of them down there becasue we feel bad if we bring the male dog (Cliff) upstairs and leave Zoe down there alone). I want her to have a good life, but we just can't provide her with what she needs, any takers, I have papers and all!!

Re: Anyone want my chocolate lab?
Maybe you can call a Lab Rescue organization to come and get her. Place a sign up at the local supermarket.

Oh my lord, that is my dream dog, but we only have a co-op so I regretfully have to say no.
This makes me sad.

well, keep in touch with me, I will be very choosy, I'm not just going to give her to 'anyone', it may take us a while and you never know what can happen.

How sad-I can't imagine a lab without attention-I know my lab needs much attention-I feel so bad for her and wish I could help.

How about letting the dog interact with the children? They seem to be content doing that and they keep eachother entertained.

And labs have a terrific temperment and are usually good with children. Try it out.
