Well we're not gonna make the minimum, this stinks, I hate the fact that we have been telling people what day we are getting married for 14 months now and where and people have other obligations, and OOT couldn't plan properly (their words not mine) If I would have known people weren't going to come out of the 260 I invited to meet my 170 minimum I would have invited others. Oh well what can ya do.

Yes we did invite quite a few OOTers but we talked to them long before we booked our hall and they promised they would come which is why we got such a high minimum, even still FH's family said oh we know so and so will come and nope they aren't coming now.
Our hall is willing to throw in extras but I would like to try and get at least 150 there, so I am not out as much money,
And now FH's aunt and her friend aren't coming. So back to 127.

I know how you feel. We invited 147 people, with 100 people being our minimum. Guess what!!!! we are not even going to make the minimum!!!!! So far we have only 91 people coming. Our rsvp date was 9/1, can you believe we are still missing 14 rsvps!!! What is with these people, how are is it to say yes i'm coming or no i''m not. Now we have to start we the phone calls.!!!

ready to have a bit of a shock - we invited 287 and we have a grand total of 61 comming - our rsvp date is in a week - and let me tell you we have receuved far more nos that i would have inagined - i dont think it has anything to do with the number of oot because the funny thing is that is who is comming - all our folks from other states an deven outher countries are all comming - the ones who are local are the ones who arent coming - over 100 no's already hard to believe every time i get one i just stare in shock - you cant ever tell who is going to come - but i have reached the point where every no is another liw gal we can have - that is if you ladies want to come to our insane little masquerade ball LOL 1 liw table already - - hmmm maybe there will be 2???

So far I have an equal number of yes's and no's BUT I still also probably won't make the minimum. I didn't invite people from work, and at this point it may look tacky.
My minimum's only 75, though we invited 130 because ALL of FH's family is out of state. And I have as many out of state friends as ones who live here.
I'm sorry that so many of us have this problem, but I also feel a little better since I'm not the only one.

Sorry I would defiantely talk to your catering manager. Tell them you want extras in your coctail hour. RAW BAR, etc... Or maybe they can throw in a Viensse (sp) hour.
