I just saw the mini wedding cakes and absolutely fell in love with them. They are so beautiful. I can not believe some of the dresses that they showed for brides. Did anyone see the really low cute one? I do not think that is appropriate for a bride at all. Any other thoughts???

Re: Anyone watching Oprah?
First, I want to say that I really hate how TheKnot.com always gets credit for being the greatest resource on the web...blah, blah, blah...we all know that LIWEDDINGS.COM is supreme...!!!
That said, I absolutely LOVED the mini Lily of the Valley cakes - if I had seen that last year, perhaps I would have changed my design Well, maybe not...but it was nice!
Also, I LOVED the two Reem Acra dresses - the one the bride wore, AND the one that was modeled (it was shown last). Stunning gowns!!
I definitely think that the two Vera Wang dresses (plunging necklines - see photo below) were inappropriate for brides - well, at least those wishing to host family gatherings in a church or other house of worship!
The FLOWERS made my head spin - the floral chandeliers were just incredible, and the framed floral art...now that's something that guests talk about forever! Preston Bailey is very talented!
Oh, and the Harry Winston jewels Worth $525,000!!!
Here's some other photos for those that missed it:
Oprah's set, all set up!
In this photo, you can see the framed floral art in the background:
The Gold Coast Ballroom at The Drake in Chicago:
The mini cakes!!
Raw silk monogrammed pillows that were one of the favors:
Here's a good shot of the bouquets with the FG and RB:

Her dress was so beautiful, I got goosebumps when I saw it. All the flowers were absolutley gorgeous. I hated those two dresses that are above. I agree they are totally inappropriate. Those cakes look so yummy that I am baking a cake right this moment.

Re: Anyone watching Oprah?
Does anyone else feel like Vera has been losing it a little bit? I mean, I know her classic designs are just that...classic, but lately she's just been blah. I tried one of her classic gowns on for the 'fun' of it (because I'd never be able to afford one on my best day) but I just wasn't impressed! I really feel like a Reem Acra, Eve Of Milady, Michelle Roth...put her to shame!

Re: Anyone watching Oprah?
Ha ha ha, poor FH, he got stuck watching w/me. He told me the dress above (the inappropriate one towards the front) looked more like a nightgown. I thought he hit it right on target

Re: Anyone watching Oprah?
Anyone know where I can find the vows the officient read...my dog started barking at the door and I missed most of them. On the Oprah site all i see are the vows they wrote for each other. I'd really like to hear/read them! Thanks!

Re: Anyone watching Oprah?
I saw this last night and WOW! It all looked so amazing! The low cut dress was one they've shown on J. Lo as a choice for her 3rd wedding dress- ha- I laughed when I saw it. Totally not appropriate for a wedding.
The little cakes- amazing, but who can do that? TheKnot does get a lot of great reviews, but as stated... we all know the truth!!!
Her dress was amazing! I got teary eyed when they read their vows. So cute!
The rest is such a mind game to us, b/c it's so unrealistic! I want to see the book on the flowers though- for ideas only.
