I've worn glasses since I was 6. They are part of me and I feel like I look weird without them. I'm not considering contacts, but I have never seen a bride in glasses.

Re: Anyone wearing glasses?
I only started wearing glasses a few months ago and I got along just fine without them so I'm not wearing them on my wedding day. I can see pretty clearly without them though. I would say if you want to get contacts you should have them for a while before your wedding so you're comfortable in them.

If you want to wear your glasses I think you should. Who cares? It's your day, you should feel comfortable!

Yeah, glasses are who I am. I will more than likely wear mine for all of my pics.

Re: Anyone wearing glasses?
I'm not and I've been wearing glasses since I was in the 5th grade. I'm pretty blind, so instead I'm wearing contacts to my wedding. I've worn contacts before and I know I'm comfortable with them. I don't want to wear glasses because I feel like it takes away from eye makeup...it's simply not as noticeable and the eyes are something that I'm going to put an emphasis on. Plus, if I put mascara on, my lashes are going to keep touching my glasses and dirtying them and that drives me absolutely crazy!! And I don't want to have to worry about finding some place to clean them.
Edited to include: I forgot to say that my fiance also wears glasses and he will be wearing them on his wedding day. He feels its a part of who he is and IMO he looks just as handsome with his glasses on.

Re: Anyone wearing glasses?
I've been wearing glasses since the 7th grade, and I don't wear contacts (i have a bad eye-closure reflex). So, I didn't wear my glasses for the ceremony, formals and first dance, but wore them the rest of the evening.
If you do decided to wear your glasses, get reflection-free lenses so that you don't have a white spot where your eyes should be in the photos.

I've worn glasses my whole life and I wore them on my wedding day - DH wore his too so I wouldn't feel out of place. I got contacts about 7 months before the wedding but I could not get them in my eye, lol.

Re: Anyone wearing glasses?
I have worn glasses since the 4th grade and contact since 8th and consistently wear glasses daily now, but I wore contacts on my wedding events and day of as well as on the HM. I agree with others where what makes you comfortable if you do get them I would recommend getting the coating that won't reflect flash on the lenses.

Re: Anyone wearing glasses?
I've been wearing glasses since 6th grade to see distance only. Just got contacts for the first time last week so I can adjust to putting them in and taking them out; this way I'll be comfortable with them on my wedding day.
No one says you can't wear glasses, if you feel like they are a part of you then wear them!

I've been wearing glasses since I was 8 but I plan not to wear any on my wedding day. I alternate between glasses and contact lenses.

Re: Anyone wearing glasses?
I have been stressing about this myself. I am blind without my glasses but I think I look better without them. I have been thinking bout contacts but I have a hard time even putting eyedrops in my eyes. What I was thinking is about 6 months before my wedding getting contacts to get used to them.

Re: Anyone wearing glasses?
I wear glasses on a daily basis, but use contacts for special occasions. I recommend that you try on contacts. I just started using them 2 yrs ago and they felt so good that I forgot about them. I am going to be sincere. I do think that wearing glasses will take away from the whole bride look, especially is you have great eye makeup, but that's just my opinion. You have plenty of time to start wearing contacts if you would consider it. Even starting to wear them the weekend before the wedding will be enough practice. Now if you refuse to buy contacts, then yes wear your glasses. You would want to see everything and enjoy your day.
