I'm curious, anyone doing anything other than pearls or diamonds?
I'm going for the classic bride but have been giving lots of thought to wearing blue sapphire and diamond earrings as my 'something blue' and to also incorporate some color, what do you girls think?
I like..I am going to wear diamonds and aquamarine.

I might wear my sapphire and diamond ring on my right hand, but I'm not sure because it's a little tight on that hand (I used to wear it on my left), and also our wedding bands get placed on the right hand so it might interfere. I still need to think about the logistics lol.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing but looking at everyone elses post they are all wearing diamond or pearl earrings. I found these beautiful earrings and I figured I can wear them as my something blue but I didn't know if it would be strange. I am glad there is someone else out there that is thinking the same way.
I love it! I love sapphires and am doing the same thing except I have sapphires on my e-ring which is my something blue.

O.M.G. Those are beautiful! I love them.
Obviously, I don't think it's strange at all. You're going to get people who think it is- the old fashioned folks. I recall Espo22 (who wore blue Manolo shoes) wrote that some people asked her mom if she 'forgot' her wedding shoes. Crazy, right?
I really love those earrings, we'll have to keep each other posted if we do it .

They had a beautiful one at Fortunoffs but I guess that's not going to happen now....
But now I've seen ones I love on Blue Nile - alternating diamond and sapphire. This is the style I really love
but someone told me not to get sapphires all the way around because they're softer than diamonds, so I may just get the gems at the top. I know when we're ready to buy, we will end up going to the person who made my e-ring in the diamond district...

my e-ring has the center round diamond, and then a saphire on each side :o) FH bought me sapphire and diamond earrings for christmas, so i will probably wear them as well for the wedding!
