anyone work near 42nd and 6th??? Call the ASPCA please
So, there is a man who stands on 42nd and 6th ave almost everyday with 2 dogs, 2 birds, 2 guinea pigs, and 3 cats. Sometimes there are even bunnies there. THE PETS DONT MOVE. I don't know if any of you own animals but, they dont stay still like that and especially on such a busy street. They barely look alive. So, I have and others have called the ASPCA to complain and they claim they are not drugged. He 'trains' them to be that way. And, he also asks ppl for money to take pictures of them. THE ANIMALS ARE OUT NOW! IN 100 DEGREE HEAT! IT ISNT RIGHT. So, if you are bothered by this too...please call the aspca and complain.
In NYC: Cruelty situations involving animals in New York City should be reported to the ASPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement department at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4450, or [email protected].

I complained about a neighbor of mine that consisently let her dog get out of the house, yard, whatever in summer - last summer there were a couple of really hot days and the dog was out. The town's animal control said that they could do NOTHING if they didn't catch the dog roaming the neighborhood. And they never did. Finally, she put a fence up so the dog doesn't get out now, but I am sure she lets him stay in her yard.
I hope the ASPCA goes over there and sees him and the animals, and takes them! So sad! I don't let my dog stay out for more than 10 mins at a time in this weather - funny thing is, she wants to lay in the sun whenever I take her out! I have to go over to her and get her with the leash, she IGNORES my calls

So horrible I hope they do something about it.Its just so cruel.
I left a NASTY note on someone's car this afternoon because they left their dog in the car with the windows barely cracked I saw them go into the store, so I knew they'd be out shortly, but just a few minutes in that heat can be fatal.

yeah there is def something wrong with that picture. That is not a safe environment for them and something should be done.
So the ASPCA has investigated and doesn't think this is a problem?

That guy moves around. I used to work by Rock Center and I'd see him pretty often. Now I work down by Ground Zero and I see him occasionally on Broadway. It's freaky how they stay so still.....

The ASPCA says there are multiple ppl calling but, they aren't drugged. I mean how can they tell that???? It freaks me out that they don't move they look dead! The other day he had music playing too.

I saw him today as I was walking back to Penn and had the same thought. It is WAY to hot for those poor guys to be out there. I have also seen him down 6th by 47th. He must work 6th Ave with these poor animals. People suck!
