Re: Anyone worried...
YES, I have a bunch of people that all work jobs that mandate them. I am worried this big disaster will hit and 1/2 of my guests will be mandated to work.

Re: Anyone worried...
I think we will all run into this problem. I'm almost kind of planning/expecting for it. If you have 200 guests that RSVP yes to your wedding chances are someone will either get sick, have to work, a car breaks down, kid gets sick, ect. I don't think we should worry about too many of these though. At least I hope not

Re: Anyone worried...
Yep I'm worried about it, but I know it happens all the time though. FH has some cousins and an aunt that are known to call the day of parties and cancel. Who knows if they will do this for a wedding, but I almost don't want to invite them because of it! LOL HIs aunt did it for our engagement party! Luckily I had told them a couple of less people just in case! But it was just at a restaurant so I was able to do that.

Re: Anyone worried...
well - for my brother it ended up being like 3-4 ppl (one couple thought that it was the following week, and another couple sd some BS story). My parents DID call them after CH to see what happened.
I am expecting it, it does happen...

Re: Anyone worried...
A friend suggested telling the catering hall 15 people less than your 'yes' rsvps due to this reason...i will be sure to take note of who these people turn out to be! hahaha

Re: Anyone worried...
my girlfriend teresa had three no shows and two people call and say they were not coming the morning of the wedding... people are just rude! unless it's a serious emergency, how could you stand someone up on their wedding day when they have already paid for you and are planning on you being there??
my fmil had a girl in her bridal party--one of her bridesmaids!!!!! give her an 'I owe you' for her wedding gift. it will be 34 years this July and no gift-- just terrible

Re: Anyone worried...
I'm going to tell the hall we have less than we do. Let them figure out how many after everyone shows. Ex: if we get 170 yes', then I'll tell them 155. I'll pay the difference later.

Ya, it happens at any party.... Things happen and you can't do anything about it... unless you take a change and tell them 2 or 3 people less and if they some you add chairs but who wants to deal with that..
