I was told that you should wrap your dress in a white sheet to keep it protected and then store it a vinyl protective cover. Anyone else do this? Does this mean dresses can fade?

I had mine wrapped in a white sheet, and then inside the garment bag with the zipper slightly opened for air.
My dress stayed pefect and white for the year it was in there. untill fitting time came around If you do it, it will be fine

I heard that a 'blue' sheet will keep it white, but I have not tried it. I co-worker has kept her folded in a blue sheet for 10 years and she says it still looks brand new.....

Yes, I had mine wrapped up for 8 months in a white sheet and in the garment bag. I just took it last month to the seamstress to start my fittings. If you keep it wrapped in a sheet the less likely it will discolor.

You should also avoid hanging it...they may stretch...especially if it's going to be hanging for a long time (like months). I had no where to lay it down so it laid on one of my living room couches for 8 months...I live in a small apartment and there was no where else for me to put it...FH wanted to strangle me!!!

I have mine in a white sheet and a garmet bag. It is hanging in the closet. I never heard about not hanging it, I was told by many dress stores it can be hung. I was all over the place looking for BM dresses and I inquired about this.
