I work at the new york botanical garden. Not as rewarding of a job as a typical non profit...but a beautiful place to work!

I'm health care - I've got some contacts still at hospitals, but right now I am in a private doctor's office... hospitals are non-profit for tax purposes but RUN as for-profits - that's the only way they can cover costs.

Hey I'm not sure if you know but there is a website idealist.org a lot of non-profits post job openings there. They also post volunteer opportunities as well. I'm with you I absolutely love working with children.

I do. They say we're on a hiring freeze but they keep having new employee orientations so I don't know.
