Anything that you didn't like or see at someone's wedding..

you don't want done at your own? I am looking for stuff like this to bring up during my final. I have these so far.

-Appetizer served as guests are arriving into the reception room not already there.
-Champagne handed out after the guests are in the room not already there.
-MARTINIS-the REAL ones!! But I know as far as liquor my place is great on doing the real deal.
-beer-in bottles or glass? Not sure on this yet.

When it's dessert time...I want the cake served before the coffee. They usually serve coffee...and then 1/2 hour later your cake shows up...and your coffee is either cold..or you drank it! Your cake won't get cold waiting for your coffee...but your coffee gets cold waiting for your cake.

I hate having to wait 20 minutes to get my tea during dessert time.
And too loud music. Other guests should be able to hold a conversation without having to shout.

40's of beer on the tables. Guys loved it b/c it was always there but just very very very tacky

Yes- tea! I always feel like an outcast for not drinking coffee. I don't know how much say you have in this, but i feel it should be offered when coffee is poured, instead of the guests having to ask for it.

What's a fake martini? A vodka martin? a flavored vodka martnin?

To me, a real martini has gin , but I don't know if that's what you mean.

Here are a couple more I found in my notes...

-Food platters filled at all times @ cocktail hour room. As well as the drink stations if have any.
-Replenishing of the napkins, silverware during cocktail hour on a timely basis.

I totally agree about the tea - also about the loud music and, finally, I hate being smushed in tables that are too crowded.

OMG...my family loves these. If this is all they had at the CH...they would be fine with that. I am requesting an entire platter of these for my bridal suite...since we will miss most of the CH taking pictures!

We were at a wedding where they 1. weren't offering martinis and 2. were offering to do it with non top shelf liquor. The place HAS top shelf liquor so why are they serving non top shelf liquor. It was kind of an uproar for my friend because she loves martinis.
They also weren't serving top shelf liquor in the mix drinks. FH had to say I want Absolut Vodka with cranberry. If he would say vodka and cranberry, they would go straight for the cheaper stuff.

love it when the wait staff brings me a drink when they see my present drink is almost done so i don't have to go to the bar

I totally agree about tea. I've also asked for decaf coffee and have gotten it after the cake plates were removed.

- no beer bottles
- no tip jars
- no drunken speeches
- no paparazzi style photography
- no children screaming in church
- no garter and bouquet toss
- yes elbow room at the table
