My fiance and I are looking for month-to-month apartments now that we sold our house. Anyone know of someone looking to rent a 1 or 2 br near Commack?

Hahaha, I still call FH my boyfriend most of the time, I'm definitely gonna end up doing this too.
I was looking for a month to month lease after Sandy. I must've left at least 50 messages with realtors and landlords for just about every ad I saw, and not one called me back with anything. Landlords just didn't want the hassle of a short-term rental. Eagle Rock (they have several complexes on LI) did offer a 6 month lease, and I ended up finding a 6 month lease through a friend. For a 6 month lease, I had to pay an extra $100-$200 per month. Your best bet might be going on Craigslist for a sublet.

Craigslist worked for me! I found a beautiful apartment and signed at lease all within 4 days!!!
