Apartment Inspection----Venting!! URRRR

I don't mean to be a whiner, but I'm very frustrated at this point. I got back from my cruise on Sunday to find my landlord had disassembled my king sized bed (this is okay as I knew they were going to do it at some point this week). But then again, not fun to return from a vacation, FH came back with me & we had to sleep on a TWIN blow-up mattress. URRR.

Then yesterday I come home and my landlord runs out & says her friend is downstairs. He was in my kitchen assembling shelves which are now in my bedroom holding boxes upon boxes of Christmas stuff, toys, etc.

I had to wake up early today, deflate my air mattress, take down all my pictures from the walls, my calendar, clear off my dressers and take things off my counters.

Then I went to give them the rent last night thinking they'd definitely take a hundred or 2 off for the headache/hassle & no luck.

I'm very frustrated & living on an airmattress and my closets are jammed to capacity w/ toiletries & things off my shelves/dressers and I'm very aggravated.

At this point I am at the point where I want out NOW.

FH understands, but he wasn't here yesterday when I had to move things and take things down and he doesn't understand why I'm so upset. So I'm frustrated w/ him also.

Anyway, thanks for listening. The guy is SUPPOSED to come at 10 a.m. this morning.

Does anyone know how long he'll stay or what happens IF they get busted. Looking around it is still obvious this is an apartment & not just storage.

That stinks Cin- I am sorry you have to put up with all of that. I wish I could help out.

If they get busted your out and they are fined. I am sure they cant stay too long, maybe half hour/hour at the max? I am really sorry to hear all the trouble you are going through. It doesnt seem like the lady is really sympathizing with you, I would talk to her and ask her if next month she can knock off a hundred or two off the rent for your troubles.:) I really hope all goes well.

Cin, I can also ask if any units will be opening up in my building- they are mostly 1 BR but the building is really well-kept and close to everything. (Bob and I seem to be the only non-lifers in the 2 BR units, but hopefully we will be moving out soon). Let me know!

We're looking at an apt. this weekend in E. Northport from a girl on the boards. It looks wonderful!!!

Thanks for the support...just a lot of BS & I can imagine what else they moved/put away when I left for work this a.m.

I'm kinda glad my parents are heading over this p.m. for dinner...

I'm also kinda hoping I am ousted b/c FH is dragging his feet on moving & this would force him sooner rather than later.

Even if they don't get busted Id be out. They can come every month. When my mom and dad first got married and moved into their first apt before the house they had to go through this all the time. Just hearing their stories id never move into an illegal apt. Get out and get out FAST! Good Luck.

Keep me posted on what happens. Are you looking to move out east? I may know of something nearby me in Clearview gardens if you are interested. Sorry for your troubles!
