Apartments & Condos

Does anyone know of any good apartment complexes for rent or condos for sale for a good price? TIA

Are you looking in a specific area? Nassau or Suffolk?

I have a co-op in Selden that I want to sell so FH and I can get a house.

FM if that is an area you are interested in.

If not, you can always go online at mlsli.com and look for condos/co-ops for sale in the area you are interested in.

We are looking in nassau and will as far as Babylon. We don't want a coop because of the restrictions but thanks.

I;ve been looking on MLS but there really aren't that many condos.

I live in the Harbour Club rental complex in West Babylon - I LOVE IT!!!!! I've lived here for 9 years so that should tell you something.

No problem; there aren't too many condos out there.

Restrictions on co-ops aren't so bad; it's the board interview which people worry about...mine lasted maybe 15 minutes tops.

Good luck with your search!

I saw it advertised. Can you tell me the average price they go for a month and if any of the utilities are included? I called and left a message yesterday but they haven't called back yet but they look really nice!

co-ops are a bargain right now and the restrictions aren't so bad bc you benefit from everyone having to obey the rules as well... a friend of mine just bought a one bedroom in the village of huntington is beautiful and she got a great deal

FH's friend had a really hard time because he put up a wall and to close off his bedroom and they had a fit, now he's trying to sell and he is having such a hard time so it kind of turned him too coops.

yes, but they are in Astoria... brand new buildings.. they were condos for sale, but they are renting them out now because of the market one of them has underground parking... great location. a block away from the train.. near me! FM if you want and I will find out the info for you

Crashing - we are looking into co-ops/condos too and there really are no condos

I don't know the reason why you are deciding on a co-op/condo rather than a house but if you were looking to save on the money - condos are as much as houses that is why FH and I are just looking into co-ops

I spoke to a Realtor and he said that most of the condos in li are senior developments and their are really very few condos available. We have been looking at houses but really haven't found anything we like. So we might decide to rent for a year and then buy but if something good comes along we will take it.

it depends on the co-op. I was able to re-do my WHOLE apartment with no problem. We tore down a wall to make one of the bathrooms bigger, added a stand up shower to the 2nd bathroom, we gutted the entire kitchen and re did the whole thing. Gutted the hallway closets and re-did them. Did the floors and walls.

The only thing we did have to do was just show them that the workers doing it were licensed workers but other than that we were able to change the entire apartment.
