Apparently I have resorted to screaming at people...MEGA VENT!!!

My RSVP date was YESTERDAY and I am missing RSVPs that total almost 80 PEOPLE!!!!!!! Yes, 80!!!!!!!! So at this point I could have a 120 person wedding or a 200 person wedding and that makes a HUGE difference when making seating charts, place cards, and crap as you all know. We are trying to make some calls here and there so people can send back the cards.

Apparently the following people believe they are exempt from RSVPing: Bridal party (because I am supposed to figure out by osmosis who is bringing a date and who is not), parents, siblings, uncles (because..'I told you I was gonna come three weeks ago!') and 6 of my friends! (considering I only invited 8 friends that are not in the BP, that % is pretty freaking high!!)

What people fail to realize is that:
A) Some people actually like to keep RSVPs in a scrap book for memories (at this point I am no longer one of these people because my guests could go eat their RSVPs for all I care!!!)

B) My OCD is in full force and the number of entries on my excel guest list must match my RSVP card number exactly.. If it is even one off, I have to go through the whole list again which can get quite annoying!

C) I spent $270 on freaking postage for invites and RSVPs.. You best believe that I want those stamps to be used.. Let the post office work for that money I gave them!!!!

Okay, I think this is the first bridezilla moment I had in this whole wedding planning process! Boy does it feel good to get it all out!!!!

I hate when people don't RSVP. Maybe you'll get a bumper crop of RSVPs tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

i feel the same way too. Our RSVP date is yesterday and we are missing at least 20 RSVP. We had to hunt them down and at this point I figure if you don't send back the RSVP...Oh Well! You are not coming ! If they decided to show up at the wedding....guess what find a seat buddy !
I am so tired with all these RSVPs crap !

I'm already having people tell me that they can't come. . .but it doesn't count to me if I don't have that card in hand. Apparently, people think that TELLING me they're gonna be there means that they're exempt from sending a SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED REPLY ENVELOPE back to me in a timely fashion. Look, if you already know that you can't come, write your name on the card, check off no, put it in the envelope, lick the flap, and put it in the mail! Takes 60 seconds!!!

Frustrating!!!! I feel your pain. 80 is a HUGE number, too. You should send a mass text message saying 'if I don't have your reply card in hand by Saturday, I'm assuming it's a no.'

Sweetheart, you are not a Bridezilla!!!! It's just plain rude of people not to send the RSVP's back, especially after the time and expense put into them!!!!!! And I think we all know that, hey, the number of meals, seating charts etc. depend on knowing who's showing!!!!!! Mary MOB

I completely understand your pain...while I haven't had my wedding yet, I have had to plan many events for my son...friends can be the most frustratingwith RSVPs! Why do people feel like they have the right to be rude?

somehow the invites gets to all brides one way or another. Whether its addresses, who to invite, getting a guest list, rsvp's. This is one area i lost it too.

Let it out, and just think that soon this issue will finally be over with. Maybe have a drink tonight and relax, you deserve it
