I wanted to know what I would need if I wanted to apply Swarovski crystals to my invitation? Like what type of glue would I need? Do I need special tools? And is it hard? I have never really done anything DIY and was interested in attempting this because I cant afford to have it done when my invitations get done...
If its too hard then I just wont do it because I dont want to ruin my invitations or the amazing work my designer has done. =/
Any help/info/suggesstions would be very much appreciated! =)

Re: Applying Swarovski Crystals
It's not hard at all don't worry! I got this get glue that I used for mine and it dries clear, holds well, and you just take ur finger nail around the edge of the crystal and it removes any excess glue. I'll see what it's called tonight when I get home. I got it from michaels in the scrapbooking section.

Re: Applying Swarovski Crystals
you can use the real small glue dots. Just test it out on one and see how it comes out.

I used rhinestones on my STD's and I applied them on with the mini Glue Dots.

Honestly, I wouldn't do it if I were you. Whenever i try to make things, they never come out as I planned and you don't want to be upset when you have no choice but to use the invitations. That's just how I am... but maybe you are more artistic than me.

you can use tacky glue (looks like elmers) and comes in a gold bottle...It dries clear. I am not familiar with glue dots those could work too. As for tools whenever I use crystals I just use tooth picks to apply them... I dull the edge of the tooth pick and then wet it (not drenched but not dry, just dunk it in water and dab off the excess) and then tap it on the face of the crystal and it makes a sort of suction. Or you could use tweezers they have jewel tweezers in Michael's but i find them to be clumsy. You could use your finger but I find there is more margin for error or smearing. Good luck!

you know how you get a magazine and on the bottom right they have the address label on there, and when you peel it off its that sticky thing underneath. Thats what glue dots remind me of. Yes they are these tiny dots that are that rubbery type of material, you just peel it off, put it on the invite and put the rhinestone over it and thats it. Like i said just try it on one and see how it works for you. Should be fine. Why not give it a try, if you ruin anything it will be just 1 invite. Or not even test it out on an invite, do it on something else

Use E600 silicone glue. You can get it at Michaels, it's about $3 for a big tube.

I did the pearls for my table cards. Look in album. It was very tedious and annoying but I refused to pay to have it done b/c it was soo very
On the invites seems to me like more work but that is up to you if you have the patience.
I did not do what all these girls are saying which is the self adhesive glues and the gold glue and Elmer's.
If you decide to tackle this project than my suggestion to you is 1 of two choices. Crazy glue - it comes with a fine long tube I suggest you use this if your not good with glue - I happen to be b/c of the line of work I am in. Or.. Actually you can use a dab of clear nail polish. You actually have more play with that.
I also would use the tops of your fingers as that sticks better - the natural oils from your skin help better than tweezers. That is just nonsense to get involved with that and dropping them
