Ahhhhh!!!! So excited! Just talked to June at SM and we made an appointment to meet tomorrow afternoon I LOVE that they offer an inclusive package, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the place in person! God, I can't stand how giddy this planning makes me! Did anyone else book here, or do you know of anyone who's had their wedding there? Thanks!!

SMCC is actually on the corner of my block and I've been to a bunch of funtions there! My parents got married there and FH's sister got married there last August. James is the Maitre D' and he is AMAZING - there really is no one else like him in the business, he knows his stuff inside and out and if you book with them, you're in great hands! We had our e-party at a place in Mineola but it was run by SMCC and everything was perfect. It's a totally different feel than most places, but had FH's sister not gotten married there, I definitely would have considered it! Good luck!!!

Thanks all! I feel like falling in love with it isn't going to be the problem - it's going to be deciding between all the gorgeous places we've seen! LOL! Oh, and the budget too - pricing for every wedding-related venue is just ridiculous on Long Island!! More to come tomorrow with my post-visit update

We checked out SMCC a couple weeks ago and it's beautiful, you won't find anywhere else that looks like it!! They have 'competitive' pricing which means if you find a different menu from another place for the same price they will match the menu if you like the other one better.

We decided not to book there because FH thought the cocktail room was too small, and my mom didn't like the bridal suite bc it has narrow stairs and the bathroom is downstairs. Haha. If we didn't fall in love with where we booked we probably would have booked there!

OH MY GOD I LOVED Stewart Manor!!!!!! Absolutely loved meeting with June - she was SO nice and easy to talk to! I loved the feel and look of the entire place, and with the all-inclusive package they also offer, we are seriously considering it as a possibility for our reception now! I'm going to post a separate question about the vendors to see what they are like, but I kinda already love it here YAY!!!
