appointment with burtons tomorrow!!

I have an appointment tomorrow with Mike from Flowers by Burtons. I've heard so many good things about him and the work they do. This is the first florist we are going to and we are excited. I'd like to know from brides who chose them, if you booked them on your first visit or did you look at other florists before doing so. Also, does Mike give you a itemized list of what you are getting and the costs so you can compare with other places? I also don't know how many centerpieces I need because I don't know how many are gonna RSVP with a yes response. So how do you estimate how many centerpieces you need?

appointment with burtons tomorrow!!

I went to about 5 other florists and burton's was one of the last. It took me a few days to decide if I wanted to use them, and I must say that speaking w/ Mike was one of the deciding factors. He put my mind at ease and we chose them. I originally met w/ John, who was nice too, but I felt that since he quoted me on a package and he kept saying he'd 'throw in' this and that, I was not sure if he was making it seem like it was a deal when it was really not. It was difficult to compare the price to other florists, since it was not itemized.

I also met with Mike. He is great and has really good ideas. Burton's was the only florist I met with and I booked with them that day. They quoted me for $1600 which includes my bouquet, 4 bridesmaid, 12 high/low centerpieces, flowers for gazebo, floweres for the guys, and parents and tulle to line the aisle. Good luck!

They have done work for more friends and family then I can remember. You can't do any better in price or quality. Good luck.

I also booked Burton's

Mike was great. He gave me a lot for my $$ and I love the fact that I did not have to decide on every single flower a year before my wedding. He is very flexiable and can work within a variety of budgets. I brought magazine cut-outs of things I liked, just to give him an idea. Since they only do weddings the place is not like a typical florist showroom. They do NO walk in business so they don't have the place as 'pretty' as some other florists but I did not want to pay for someone to have a pretty showroom. That is one of the reasons why his prices are so good. I booked him the next day.
