So ive been thinking so hard about the song I want to dance with my father to and today i was listening to my ipod on the train and the song 'Make You Feel My Love'- Adele came on and i started tearing up. I must have looked like a maniac. I dont know who sang the original...theres a million different versions but Adele's version got my chocked up!
Is it more of a husband/wife song though?? I dont know. I dont want to cross any creepy lines hahaha

To be honest, I'm not sure I think it's appropriate for a wedding song or father/daughter dance. It's definitely a song between two lovers so that's why I don't think it's appropriate for a father/daughter dance. And the line in it that says 'I know you haven't made your mind up yet' indicates that it's between lovers where the woman is uncertain of her path. I'm just a big believer of not playing a song for your wedding where the lyrics don't apply. It's definitely a BEAUTIFUL song, but a wedding song should be one where you're saying 'I want only you forever!!' Not 'I hope you pick me'. I just don't think that's wedding-appropriate, you know? Sorry if I'm not telling you what you want to hear...I hope that helps!!

i think its more of a lover song, but if it touches you and you like it and it means something it doesnt matter I am dancing with my dad to somewhere over the rainbow bc its his favorite song and everytime i hear it i think of him

It is a beautiful song and most people don't listen to the words as much as they are wrapped in the emotion of the moment.
Unless a song is written for a daughter then you will never find something that 100% applies.
I happen to like the Harry Conick version but that is neither here nor there.

im doing the song from the wedding singer because we love it and ts sweet we know some people will go huh? but so what i cant please everyone and im sure noone will even be listning excpt us if i have learned anything fromp lanning a wedding its do what u like not what anyone else would bottom line its ur dayif u like it go for it
