appropriate gift??

appropriate gift??

This is actually the future husband
I wanted to know from you ladies what you think would be an appropriate gift to give to a decent (not super close but one of the fellas) friend that recnetly got married yet we were unable to attend. He and his wife will be invited to our wedding. I figured 2 bills would be quite generous considering they didn't have to 'pay for our plate' I'm usually very generous but I don't want to over do it either considering we did not go. I just want to 'take care' of them.
Thanks

I'd say $150 if not attending is good, I would ( if I recv'd) $200 for someone who didnt attend think that was very generous!

I would say that if he is a good friend, would you give hime the same amount whether you were there or not? $150/$200 sounds good.

We have a similar situation. A couple from Atlanta traveled to our wedding (flight, hotel) and then sent us a gift from our registry worth approx $70.

We can't attend theirs in NC this weekend, so we sent a gift from their registry worth $200 b/c they did spend to travel for us.
