We're using FM Entertainment. They have DJ/MC packages for under 1000 for both cocktail hour and reception.

Its going to be $2000. Which isnt bad the package comes with a Entertainment host, d.j., 6 hours, Intelligent lights, Party Coordinator, costume change, fog, smoke, bubbles, party favors and the screen for up to 40 pics

We're spending $5000 and everytime I think about it, I go nuts!! But hopefully it'll be worth it!!!

My FI are spending about $650 with Vinnie from High Voltage Sounds....the most we are going to spend with him would be $850. You may want to look into him. His prices are very reasonable. If you email him, he writes you back pretty much right away and sends you all of his quotes. We were so impressed with him upon our appointment, we decided to look no further. Good luck in making your decision!!

Right now, it's at $2,000 for DJ/MC, CH and a lighting package. We wanted the owner to MC, but if we chose someone else, it would have been $1700.
We're still considering adding CH musicians or something else to the reception.

We used Party Productions who is a friend of my mom's, and he was only $800, and that is his rate for a one man party, 5 hours, including music for the coctain hour. He had a small amount of lights and a fog machine, but nothing extravagant.
However, we did price quite a few DJs that are in the vendors part of this board. I spoke with Vinny from High Voltage and he seemed REALLY nice, and was going to give us a great package for about $895, however at that point we thought our DJ was going to be much less so we didn't book him, although I kind of wish we did becuase I hear that he is really great.
My DJ was ok. I enjoyed him during the party, but in retrospect wish he'd have played more of the songs we put on our 'list' becuase he played a lot that wasn't on the list at ALL.
Do your research and I'm sure you'll find something good.

Mike D for L&S Entertainment - under $1000 for a basic package - he played everything we asked for and nothing on our 'do not play' list. He did a great job and many of our guests told us they liked him.

We're using vinny too. We booked him on the spot. We just got got a basic package. We didn't want any crazy lights or give aways. Good Luck

$2650-not a vendor on here or known. He did my FSIL's wedding. He was awesome!
