Approx how much are you spending on a DJ?

We're paying $2975 for 6 hours, percussionist, computerized lights, mc and cloud effect with fog machine. We're using Elegancia Entertainment.

I think we're paying $2,150 total. We booked LI Sound for the 4 hour reception with basic lighting package, comes with DJ and an MC. We also have them for the ceremony and CH. I've never heard anything bad about them and one of FI's biggest concerns is that the music is good. Pretty much with DJ's, you get what you pay for!!

I think we are paying $3500. We are getting the highest package and also a singer for the CH.

We are spending between $3000-$3500, we still haven't decided on extras yet..

$1500 Dj and a MC- EJ the DJ- very nice

got a price from Tommy Tunes for $1900 for the same thing- but we didn't 'love' the guy

I have a basic package with Vinny of High Voltage Sounds and it is running us only 650 and I must say I am pretty excited about using him-I would say to at least meet with him if you are looking to have a good dj at a good price you can always add extras onto the basic package we just didnt want all the lights and whistles etc. Best of luck!!

FH is a DJ and he worked it out that his earnings for parties he works after the wedding will pay for it.

Thank goodness since I didn't budget for this at all.

To update, we just booked our DJ as of today...

$795 for CH and Reception (5 hours) and if we want the ceremony as well it's an extra $50. Very basic DJ 1 man package, no extras and no cheese.

Booked with FM Entertainment, a vendor on here

$650 High Voltage Sounds - Vinny. He is great, we didn't want any extra stuff (lights and stuff that would make it look like a club) but if you do want lights you can add them on for just a couple hundred $. his info is on this website.


me too!! i cant wait - im getting the CH music too - so we're about $1000 (including tip)

But we got this crazy package. FH is a DJ himself and the original price was 5000... He wanted the best of everything.... which is killing my wedding budget!
