It's on Hempstead Tpke. If you know where the hospital is, it's just west of there on the north side of the tpke. It's very easy to spot. It's halfway between the Meadowbrook and Wantagh Pkwy.

Hempstead Tpke is Fulton (or is it Front) street to me. The only thing *I* know about Hempstead Tpke is that if I go down that road I end up at Hofstra. I don't know what hospital you're talking about.

Just someone give me an address and I'll find it. Im very used to 'figuring' it out. But just a name isnt enough.

If you go east on Hempstead Tpke towards Hofstra, keep going past Hofstra and past the Nassau Coliseum, past Eisenhower park (on your left) and you'll see a BIG building up ahead on your left. That's the hospital. Just keep driving towards it. You'll pass a shopping center with a Modell's sporting goods on your right and also an old White Castle and Home Depot.

Cafe' Grappa is just past that a little bit on your left. If you pass the hospital you've gone a little bit too far. Cafe' Grappa is very easy to spot....it has a big martini glass on the front of the building....

Yikes - I just looked at their website - it says average meal pp is around $30 (that's for appetizer and dinner - no drinks!)
Guess I'll be getting the cheapest thing on the menu

Yes, by Pearl Paint. But that's East Meadow (I grew up there )

I really wanted to come, but between needing to find an apartment and having 2 appointments with brokers in Queens, and a wedding at 8pm that night, it just isn't going to work. I love Cafe Grappa though!

Hempstead Tpke turns into Fulton Ave for a few miles between W. Hempstead and Hofrstra, but it turns back into Hempstead Tpke.

Front street starts near the white castle in w. hempstead and runs parallel to hempstead tpke. If you continue east on front street thru hempstead, uniondale, then e meadow, it will end right at hempstead tpke in front of Nassau County Hospital.

My parents house is in Uniondale, so I know the area pretty well.
