April Outdoor ceremony in chateau briand and in general ?

Hi ,
Does anyone know any statistics of having outdoor ceremony in April 10-17 2007/2008/2009/2010 in Chateau briand and overall in New York? Is it still cold then?
When should people decide where to have a ceremony?
Thanks

I don't know statistics, but my friend got married outside at CB 2 years ago. It was around 70 degrees that day and everything was beautiful. Some other weekends were in the 60's, so I think it really depends.

You can never predict the weather. This year there were girls who got married in March that had outdoor CHs (70's) so they could have gotten married outside and well.

The RHs always have a back up plan.

Also, CB has heaters outdoors. I mean they probably won't work in 20 degree weather but definitely above 55 degrees. The GM told me the coldest someone got married outdoors was in 44 degree weather.

My wedding was on April 24th and the weather was beautiful; however, you can't really predict what will happen. I thought it was going to be cold and rainy but instead we had a sunny warm day; it did get chilly after the reception though.

Even if it rains the day of your wedding, I'm sure Chateau Briand will not have any issues moving your ceremony to the chapel room upstairs. I went to a wedding in August and the ceremony was supposed to be outside but it rained so they had their ceremony upstairs.

april is really hard to predict for weather. it could be warm and sunny or cold and rainy. We lucked out and had a perfect day...it was 78 degrees and sunny. We got married outside but had a backup plan just in case.

even though april is technically spring, the first part of the month is often BITINGLY cold. i think you'd have a better chance of an outdoor wedding if you had it later in the month, though it does tend to rain a lot... april is really unpredictable in general imo. i think you need to pick a place that you would be happy at regardless of the weather. take a GOOD look at the indoor ceremony and cocktail hour areas and think whether you'd be hpapy!

Its hard to tell.. Like april 14th this year it was 90 +.... CB told us that the never didnt have a wedding outside b/c of temp. in April b/c of heats as long as it is like 55 + or around there. It comes down to your decision really. No matter what they block a chapel for you as well if you are having an outdoor wedding just incase it rains

I am getting married the end of april 2012. I am hoping to get married out side because the garden at crestwood manor is so nice. But i do have a back up plan in case it is too cold.

April is unpredictable but when were talking about April vs. May the BM told us the past few years April has been less rainy than May, go figure!! We're all hoping for a nice sunny and warm April next year!!
