Are any of you not going to work after you get married or have kids? And how does your FH feel about this?

Re: Are any brides doing this?
We're both working day and night so I won't have to work once we have children. My husband wouldn't have it any other way

Re: Are any brides doing this?
I'll probably continue working right after the wedding, but come the end of this year we'll probably be moving out of state, and I won't have to work. By then I would like a bun in the oven too, and once we start having kids i'll be staying home.
FH and I were both raised with our Mom's being home all the time, thats the only way we know how to do it

Idealy I would like to b a SAHM, but I don't know if we'll be able to afford it. DH knows that even if we have to struggle, I'm really against going back to work FT, I would only want to work PT until my kids are school-aged.

I will be home pregnant and after the baby I want to go back to work. FH will not discuss it he doesnt want me working while Im pregnant then after its up to me. I cant stop working I worked so hard for my career and I have to maintain my license in NYS ( I have to attend classes and pay for them) and I dont want to lose my skill. I will prob work 1 or 2 days. After a month or 2 though.

Re: Are any brides doing this?
My FH and I go back and forth on this. He wants me to stay home with the kids and if I don't want to - then he said he will. We're not styaing in NY - we're trying to move down south come summertime, so we may be able to afford it. But I do value my career...so I really don't know and probably wont till the baby comes

Re: Are any brides doing this?
I may be overreacting or misinterpreting, but I am a bit of a womens' libber and I think it is kind of wierd when people wrote 'FH doesn't want me to work' when I have kids or after I get married, etc. Why should they get to decide what happens?
If my FH ever told me what to do there would be some big trouble!
Just playing devils advocate a bit here....
Again, I could be misinterpreting what was written...don't want to cause a bridal war...just a thought!
