Are any brides seeing there FH before the ceremony for pics?

def! Some of the reasoning is to not miss cocktail hour, spend more time with guests. A lot of is is to get a quiet couple minutes with FI. The day is going to be busy enough I think it'll really be nice to catch a quiet moment or two just him and I.

We were going to have our pics taken before the ceremony since we were gonna have the ceremony in our venue. But I really didn't wanna do that because I didn't want my FH to see me before. The ceremony is a pretty big thing for me and I didn't want him to see me as his bride 'til the big doors from the church open -the big reveal- there is nothing better than watching the groom's expression -full of love and emotion- when the bride is walking down the aisle. That kind of emotion is priceless for me, thats why we decided to have our ceremony in a church instead, then have 2 hours for pics, then CH, and then the reception

I'm still on the fence. But I have heard advice from a few people in the business and they all said the same thing: Best thing is to get the pictures taken before the ceremony so u don't get pulled away from your party. Not seing the bride b4 the ceremony is an old superstition/tradition that does not mean the same today as it did back then.

We are taking pictures before the ceremony. Definitely don't want to miss the cocktail hour. Plus, FH has already said he will be very nervous beforehand, and I'm pretty much the only thing that calms him, so I really don't have a choice.

we're getting our pictures done before the ceremony because we're getting married at the RH. The grounds are pretty so we want to take pics there before all the guests come. It would be weird having the guests looking at us as we're getting our pics taken during the cocktail hour. We're still having the photographer do the 'reveal' shot.

i did. we started taking pictures at 4 and our ceremony was at 7:30 and went right into CH. we werent missing any part of our wedding. it was teh best decision we made

we took our pics before the ceremony and it was a great decision. we went to 2 separate locations beforehand and then went to our RH (where we were having our ceremony) and took more pics there. then we even had an hour of downtime before the ceremony. so we were able to relax with our family and snack on food in the bridal suite.
it made the day a lot less stressful since we didnt have to rush.

i have a fear of someone spilling something on me during cocktail hour, but we def dont want to miss it either, since, like you, we are also paying this on our own. lol. we will leave cocktail hour 15 mins earlier than the guests to take pics in the center of the dancefloor with out any crowds.

My BA was so good. She gave us a timeline for the cocktail hour so we knew how much time we had to go around and greet guests. Then she came to get us when it was time to see our room so we can take pics in it and then she brought us down to the bridal suite where she had tons of cocktail hour food waiting for us. She even went around and grabbed our parents and bridal party when it was time for the introductions.

we are doing pictures before hand. we dont wanna miss our cocktail hour and if i wait for pictures i will not have any sun for pictures. we are gunna make our own special moment when we see eachother the first time

Yes we are ... We arent getting married until 6:30pm .. Im not waiting to see him all that time. Plus we want to get as many pictures done as possible before ceremony - Im not missing our CH!

I really wish we could but I'm too traditional with the 'you can't see the groom before the ceremony' thing.
I think that if it's something you want to do than definitely do it because you'll be able to relax after the ceremony, enjoy your cocktail hour and not stress about having to take a million pics!
