I don't want to....I have never heard a bride and groom say that it was fun, went well, or they were happier doing it. However, FH really wants to so we will see what happens.

Well here is your first...

we did and we loved it. We used John from Ballroom Dance. Our dance came out great and we just saw it on our video this weekend and I have to say I think we looked good.

us too!!! DH LOVED it, and so did I. Our dance was amazing, it wasnt overly choreographed and stiff. It was just a really nice dance, our feet moved perfectly together, a few spins, a dip and it was over! our guests jaws were on the floor - we didnt tell anyone about the lessons!

FH and I took lessons as part of a group at Arthur Murray. It was 150 for 6 or 8 group lessons - I can't remember. It was great until the 'group' started changing dates around and FH and I lost the last 3 classes due to poor scheduling. I was SO P!ssed! Anywho, it's more affordable to take a group class so you can learn the proper form and then practice at home with your song! That's what we're planning on doing. Well, I AM anyway! We'll see what FH has to say about it!

Not only do I have to take First Dance lessons...I also have to take salsa lessons because my FH is Puerto Rican and I'm irish.

I took them in FL, but we started about 6 weeks before the wedding. We took 1 or 2 lessons per week up until the week before. It was a blast, we couldnt wait to go!

we're taking lessons. we went for an introductory lesson with John from Ballroom Dance LI and my FH enjoyed it. it was a lot of fun. we got some gift certificates for it for xmas. we'll probbaly start next month.
i dont think its wrong or anything not to take the lessons, i personally just didnt want to rock back and forth for 4 minutes. i feel like it would feel like an eternity, i know as a guest at a wedding it has felt that way. i pitched the idea to FH and he said ok so we went with it
i'm looking forward to spending the time together at the lessons
