Are any of you wearing a different dress for your reception?
I was considering buying a different dress for the reception, so that i can wear a more comfortable but sexy dress (perhaps something that hugs all the right spots )
So what are your plans? If you plan to change it, do you plan to wear it at the beginning of the reception or sneak off in the middle of the reception and change?

I'm playing around with the idea, but I haven't decided yet...
If I do, I would change into it after my first dance and the father/daughter dance....so I would make the father/daughter dance a little earlier than usual

no way! i love my dress and want to wear it all day and night! i've considered changing into something else for our little after-party but i decided not to. dress all day and all night it is

I was considering changing into the next dress after my first dance with FH. So i might do it after an hour or so.

I am most definitely changing after the wedding but not during. I couldn't see wearing my dress for like 14 hours but that's just me - I like to be comfortable.

yes, I will be changing into a little Betsey Johnson, I <3 it!
I actually bought that dress first and said I would not get a 'normal' wedding gown, finally after much convincing I purchased my Demetrios dress and now the tricky part is deciding when to change. Now I love my formal dress so much and don't want all that money to go to waste so I prob will only wear the Betsey for the last hour or so and the afterparty

Same here! I cannot WAIT to go to the bar with my dress on, I have wanted to go to a bar in my wedding dress for years!

Culturally we change pretty often at the reception. I will be wearing a traditional chinese wedding dress, then will change into another formal gown to finish up the night.
I wouldn't mind wearing my wedding gown, but its sooo heavy and I get really hot in it, so something lighter so that I can dance the rest of the night would be more fun.

i am too in love w my dress...i don't think i'll want to take it off even after the night is over...i can see it now, FH will be trying to get it off me for a lil sumthin sumthin and i'll be crying that i want to sleep in my beautiful dress.
i'll just have to buy the sexiest lingerie i can find so that i can be almost equally as excited to change into it. otherwise it's not gonna be a fun end to the night.

I am still trying to find a reception dress. If i can't find anything, then i guess i will stick with my first dress.

i originally wanted to change, but my parents said they would kill me if i did that, and they are paying after all... I do love my dress, it is just not the lightest dress and wearing it for like 15 hours is going to be tiring!

i am...i absolutely looooove my wedding dress but i also love to dance a lot...for now i think i'm wearing my original wedding dress for most of the night...and changing into the other dress probably after cake cutting cuz then we'll have some dancing time left and we have a jazz hour after that.
if might end up keeping on my first dress thw whole time and just change for the jazz hour...im going to see how the night goes.
