Are favors necessary?

Is everyone doing favors? I've been to some weddings and looking back, I can't even remember if we received a favor or now....

i think it's customary to give a favor as a thank you to guests for coming - something for them to remember your day by....if you don't want to do an item for everyone..you can always doa donation!

the cancer society website doesnt have the scroll number. there is a local office i am working with in garden city. they creat the scrolls basically saying A donation has been made in your behalf to the ACS and at thwe bottom is your names and your wedding date. they come in a classy cream color scroll and you can tie with whatever color ribbon you want. i think it is such a meaningful favor!

I think most people expect them. We didn't want to just give something people would forget or not care about, so we made a donation and had cards made up telling everyone that in honor of their presence we'd made a donation.....

Besides, favors are fun, and a great way to express yourself. A donation allows you to give what you can afford to a worthy cause and still honor the presence of your guests.
