Are florist just not open on mondayS??!?!?

i wanted to schedule an appt. tonite, since FH and i are both free.

i've called THREE florists and all of them are closed. seriously....is it a well known thing that florists don't open on mondays????

most are closed on Mon bc they have to be open on weekends for the weddings!!

They usually work on weekends so they need to be able to take 'some' time off.

i suppose i understand them needing a 'rest' but at least they could advertise that on their websites.


whatever happened to be open 7 days a week! LOL

i soooo wanted to visit some florists today.

hmmm thats weird i never would of thought that

weddings and party work are one reason florists are closed on mondays.

others are closed on mondays because flower deliveries from wholesalers dont come on mondays.
for example, florists that use a local wholesaler the likely to be open mondays because they can just drive over or accept their deliveries.
florists that use any direct from the farm service where the flowers get shipped in via fedex/dhl/ups will not necessarily be open mondays since these services do not generally deliver perishables on mondays. same reason why you cant order a bouquet from like a proflowers or other shipping service and have it delivered on a monday. its cause it would cost to more to have to deliver on a sunday since most floral product is a 2-day max 3-day delivery to ensure freshness..

now, im sure you needed and wanted to know all of that!!
