This might be a stupid question, but are kissing balls just for FG, or can the BP carry them as well?

Any of the BMs can carry them. I don't have any pics but I'm pretty sure I've seen some past LIW brides do that. It's your wedding, no one's gonna tell you you're wrong to have them carry kissing balls instead of BoKs!!

the only thing is that i've heard that they fall apart a lot... that's why some girls make them out of silk cause they are easier to work with and won't fall apart.
but i think they are gorgeous!
