I'm trying to save money on something...Is everyone doing menu's??? Is it really mandatory??

Definitely not mandatory. Check with your RH sometime they can provide this.

heck no.... I bet well under 1/2 of LIW brides are printing their own menus.... of the ones who are not, a portion likely have menus included in the RH contract.... but I bet a lot are like us and just omitting them altogether....

Totally not. I wasnt even going to do them. I went to Michaels one night to look for little boxes and fell in love with this Anna Griffin program paper and matching seating cards...MUCH cheaper then I thought it was going to be (I used program paper and did 2 per sheet and then brought them to staples to have them cut in 1/2). I think it cost me maybe $20. FM me if you want more details. Theres a pic in my WEDDING DAY album towards the bottom.

I'm not planning on doing any menus. I believe that my RH does them automatically.

Id so nope not at all.. I did make my own menus.. cost about 10 dollars to do myself... just bought cardstock and printed on it...
they were really cute! but i have no pictures b/c a week before on a cleaning mission i threw them all out thikning it was extra programs
after laughing hysterically at myself I decided aw well! just listen to the waiter!

Honestly, soooo many of the things we're all doing for our weddings aren't *necessary* ...
We are doing them because its a nice touch, and makes a beautiful presentation on the tables ...

I'm doing them - I bought cardstock for $25 at QuickPick in Farmingdale and that's enough to make menus, programs, seating cards and inserts for my invites. They came out great and I saved a fortune.

not necessary.....the wait staff will say the entrees anyway. They're a nice touch, but not necessary. If you're trying to cut down on cost or time, this is the first thing to go.....(in my opinion)
A GREAT RULE OF THUMB: If someone (other than you) is not going to keep it, OR if its not going to be in any photos, put it on the 'not as important' list.

thanx guys..i wont do them..i know ppl who didnt do programs either but ill do them. ill try and print them along with place cards but we'll c how that works with my printer!!

definitely not mandatory, most halls will supply them for you-you can do them to incorporate your theme if you wanted to, right now we are using what the hall supplies b/c I am LAAAAZZZZYYYYY!
