My parents are getting a videographer, but FI parents don't want to pay for one. They have never used one before at their weddings and they think its a waste of money. So my parents said they would pay for it - then they told me that even though they get 3 copies my in-laws will not be allowed a to have a copy since they didnt pay for it. They just seems really rude to me. My in-laws are paying for the photos and my parents get copies.
It just doesn't make sense to me, esp. since my parents told them they wanted to pay for everything - but they still offered to cover the cost of florists and photos.
I think that your in laws deserve a copy or maybe they shouldn't give your parents any photos............I mean I do think your parents deserve photos but how would they feel if they said no? explain it like that and see if you can change their mind.

i think they are acting a bit immature... perhaps his parents wont even care to have a video, but if they are buying the photo(and parents albums arent cheap and they are giving your parents one) then your parents should reciprocate with the video in giving them a copy(or at least asking if they want one)
