are parents coming with you to take pics?

Ok i was asked about this and now im confused. From what i know, most of the time the parents don't go after to take pics at a different location. I know usually its the bp with the bride and groom. I personally dont care, its not like i dont want them there, i think now it seems like i dont want them there. I just went with what i know and figured they didn't come. This came up recently and i said if they want to come they can, just as long as they know that for 4 hours we will be running around taking pics, if they're ok with that im fine with it. I didnt even say 'oh parents cant come' i just didnt exactly plan for it either. To tell you the truth, i was under the impression they were going to do something else, it was talked about a year ago so i just assumed all this time plans remained the same, now i find out that those plans will no longer happen but i was never told this.

What are you all doing? Are your parents going with you? In past bp's did the parents come?

No ours aren't...we're doing pics with them at the RH.

see thats what i was planning on. Some after the ceremony and then also when we get back to the RH.

when i was in BP last september--the BP chilled and did pics for about 2 hours or so--while the parents had guests at their house with sandwiches and such. then in the last hour or so before the CH was gonna start -- the parents arrived and did some more pics with the bride & groom

i also don't think its common for parents to stay the ENTIRE time you are doing BP pics

No, they're not. Since we have such a huge gap bw the church and cocktail hour, my parents are having appetizers and cocktails at their house.

yeah i didnt think our parents would want to go around for 4 hours taking pics especially since so many are with our bp and they'll just stand there for alot of the time. I also was under the impression that after the ceremony there was going to be a small gathering so i had no clue these plans changed

They are coming with us!!! Ours are being done on the waterfront!!!!

They are part of our special day!!

Thank you so im not crazy lol. I thought this whole time they were going to do something small after with some of the guests while we take pics. I mean yes we'll take pics at the ceremony also try and get back a bit before CH and take pics at the RH. I personally never heard of the parents going. We are going to brooklyn and going to be walking all around there taking pics.

But honestly ive seen tons of pics when the bp plus B&G go after to take pics and parents are not in most of those pics, so most of the time they would just stand there. I know of one set of parents who did go once and i didnt see them in the pics taken after at the beach so they just stood there

I hear ya!! I think it's totally personal preference!! I know they will still be in your other pic's but to me I don't see a difference!! I want them there!! Plus it depends on where you go for pics. We are going to a park, low key, not much running!! (like you mentioned) Parents can handle that!! lol

We're having most of our pics taken at JT since it's a winter wedding so they will be there and we'll take pics with them there and other immediate family members.

MINE Are part of my special day too. And nobody said there will be no pics with them. I just thought they wouldn't want to go to brooklyn for 4 hours taking pics. If they want to come they are more than welcome to obviously. But uhmmm also i was told a while ago that they were going to do a little some after at the house with the guests so bc of this i assumed they wouldn't come. Those plans changed but i was never told.

We also are not attending CH so were going to take pics during that too, by that time we'll be back at the RH and have another hour to take pics with them

im leaving it open, they want to come they can if not then that is fine

honestly this isn't a case about personal preference. Its a case where i was told they were going to have a small get together after the ceremony with guests and now that they are not doing that anymore, i was never told about this. So i just figured since they were having a small thing after then obviously they wouldn't have time to go take pics.

We are going to DUMBO in brooklyn and taking pics by the bridge and then down the streets walking all around there. Plus it will be for 4 hours but if they want to come then great
