Are Pew Bows really necessary?

Are Pew Bows really necessary?

I haven't bought them yet and am starting to think that maybe I don't need them at all. What do you all think about not having pew bows at all?

Becky, I don't think so. It really all depends on your taste.
I thought I could MAKE mine, but didnt try them till the week before the wedding.
Needless to say, they were a disaster and I went without. Nobody even asked about them. I had these cool pew candles tho'.

Here's a pic of the inside of the Church:

honestly, we don't plan on having them. i just don't like the look of them - JMO! i don't think they are by any means necessary, just personal taste.

My mom and her friends (a craft making group of ladies) have made the pew bows for all the ladies' children's weddings (I think 4 weddings so far). Mine will be made for me and even though I am indifferent about them, I know the ladies are excited, so I am letting them do it.

How many rows do you normally do?

Re: Are Pew Bows really necessary?

I did the 1st 3 on each side to signify where family should sit

Actually my florist took care of this for me!

I will be having 6 bows on each side. I actually did these INSTEAD of floral arrangements

I don't think you necessarily NEED them, especially if you are having some kind of alter flowers.

I am not going to be using them. I want to have tulle with a single rose on the pews. I am going to have this on the first three rows on each side and then every other row.

I am also not having bows. Instead I am doing bouquets of orchids on each pew.

I have them included in my florist contract but I want to do those buckets that sit flush against the pews with flowers in them. Does anybody have a clue on how to go about doing this? Is it a lot of $$$$ to have the florist do it or should I try to get the buckets myself & just have the florist provide the flowers?something like this:

PEW BUCKETS

I had them but didn't even see them I had to see a picture to know they were there. I wouldn't spend a lot on them.

I think Liz's curch is like that all the time.

It is pretty!

it's not necessary but can be a nice touch. I liked how ours came out - hard to see in pic but it was seeded eaucalyptus with burgandy ribbon.

Liz - I had isle candles too! I loved them, and thought they were a beautiful touch to the ceremony.

they certainly are not necessary, but a nice added touch. I think we did ever other row for the first 10-12 rows (we had a total of 10-12 bows).

I would have loved to have candles, but wasn't an option in our church.
