I haven't bought them yet and am starting to think that maybe I don't need them at all. What do you all think about not having pew bows at all?

I did not use them and I didn't miss them, but that's just me.

Before you go out and by them or purchase them with the florist call the church and see if there are any you can 'borrow'. A lot of churches recycle the bows that are used for other weddings and the cost is NOTHING. It never hurts to ask.

I was going to have florist do it, but decided I could do them myself, and could add decorations & color how I want. I do like the bucket idea too

I didn't have bows, but I had my florist intertwine long strands of ivy with tulle and drape that down the pews.

I love the bucket idea, but I'm not thrilled with the buckets that Martha uses. However, I really love these: and these:

I LOVE THOSE!! I am not nuts about Martha's either-I like the ones that sit flush against the pews. How do you go about doing that?
dkga1026-do you have a pic of what your florists did to your pews-it sounded beautiful!

Re: Are Pew Bows really necessary?
We did bows w/two roses and ivy. We wanted it in our church b/c it's really dark and brightened the place up.

Re: Are Pew Bows really necessary?
They aren't really necessary but it does add a little something. My florsit threw in 10 pew pows (5 rows). We had them on the first 2 for immediate family and then skipped 2 put one and etc..
