Are place cards hand-written or typed?

I assigned FH this task. He wants to hand write them b/ he cant figure out how to do it on the computer. Is this Okay?

P.S. - no he doesn't have good hand-writing so it will really be ME doing them..... which I don't have time for.

They are usually typed, but I have seen some that are calligraphed.

You can have them done by a calligrapher but if your doing them on the computer I don't think that you can unless you purchase software (which im not sure they have) but you have buy in staples clear lables and print on them and lay them on the card. Unless you have a nice handwritting, I would suggest it because your guest should be able to read where you want them seated and if you dont have time I would suggest the lables. OR what Im doing is my sister is a painter and she is painting an ivy border on a 24x36 canvas and painting the guests names... I know who's going to do it, but what you can also do is print out a large bulletin like of the guests names and put a pretty border and frame it. Then you can go to Michael's and but an inexpensive easal and if it's ugly then you can cover it up with Tulle.

Good Luck

I've seen them both way. There's not a wrong way to do it.

I just went to wedding where they were hand-written and they were very nice. So it's completely up to you!

I think I've usually seen them hand written--on the fill in the blank kind.

Staples has ones you can buy for the computer & it probably has instructions on how to lay it out.

handwriting is nice, if it's pretty writing. Can one of your mom's do it?
